about the residency
at hinter, we believe that art and nature share a quiet dialogue—one that unfolds in the stillness of the forest, the shifting light on architectural lines, and the spaces we choose to inhabit. our artist-in-residence program invites creatives to immerse themselves in several of the hinter spaces for 20 nights a year at a special discounted rate, using this time to explore, create, and document their artistic process.
each selected artist will have the opportunity to reflect, experiment, and be inspired by their surroundings, with their work and creative journey featured on our website, social platforms, and the hinter Planet. we welcome artists working in a variety of mediums—painters, photographers, writers, designers, sculptors, and multidisciplinary creators—who resonate with hinter’s ethos of intentional living and artistic expression.
we accept four artists per calendar year, and applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. if selected, we will coordinate dates based on availability.
The total cost of the 20 nights per year is CAD $3000, and is paid in 3 installments.
