night light

from CA$115.00

This collection is covered in history, borrowing its structure from Ancient Greece and maintaining a contemporary design style. These pillars of light embody a feeling of order, strength and balance, illuminating the styles of architectural columns (classical order). The wooden dowels create a shade that both blocks and reflects the LED bulb, casting light into vertical strips that fade into an even glow. These low-intensity nightlights have a built-in daylight sensor to slowly fade into the room’s environment and provide a warm glow in the dark.

stamátios fragos

a contemporary furniture designer and visual artist in montreal

He holds a bachelor’s degree from Concordia University in Design. The launch of his online studio site is Stamatios’ debut for his first public collection; Parállilo.

Growing up, he always had a curiosity for objects and the way they fit into the built environment. When he would accompany his father in construction, he would mimic him by playing with wooden building blocks and assembling miniature models. A fascination with visual art followed, placing him at the intersection of art and design.

Inspired by geometry and modularity, his work emanates classic design principles with a modern approach that challenge traditional functions and forms. Working by hand makes it so that he is always in a state of experimentation and exploration with materials - pushing the boundaries of the future life of objects.
